A more flexible stock rule

The following details apply here. The objective remains eight complete same-suit King-to-Ace runs. The game still uses 104 cards in ten columns. Relaxed Spider on reflex7.com permits stock deals while columns are empty. Choose one suit, two suits or four suits using the game controls.

Deal into empty columns

Keep these points in mind. The relaxed stock rule does not allow mixed-suit groups to move together. An empty column no longer prevents a stock deal in this variant. The relaxed stock rule does not change the rank requirement for ordinary moves. A stock card dealt to an empty column becomes that column's first face-up card.

Read the opening

Here are the details for this mode. The opening tableau contains 54 cards. The stock contains fifty cards for five later deals. The first four columns have six cards each and the remaining six have five. Only the bottom card of each opening column is face up.

Descending rank placement

An Ace cannot receive a lower-ranked card. An exposed card may land on another exposed card exactly one rank higher. The two cards do not need to share a suit for a single-card placement. A King needs an empty destination because no rank is higher.

Follow one suit

The following details apply here. Same-suit building can reduce the work needed to separate mixed sequences later. A descending group moves as a unit only when every selected card shares a suit. A break in rank prevents the entire selected group from moving together. A suit change can leave a smaller movable group at the bottom of a column.

Use empty columns thoughtfully

The following details apply here. Any exposed card or legal same-suit group can occupy an empty column. You may preserve an empty column until you decide to deal from the stock. Empty columns remain useful for separating temporary mixed builds. A new stock row fills every empty column with one card.

Stock deals are still shared

A few details help explain this feature. Undo restores the previous arrangement when the stock-deal snapshot is available. You cannot direct an individual stock card to a chosen destination. Dealing can block an existing sequence as well as reveal new combinations. A stock deal places one card onto each of the ten columns.

Clear the table

Keep these points in mind. The game removes a complete run automatically at the bottom of a column. A complete run contains thirteen face-up cards in one suit from King to Ace. Eight collected runs are required to finish Relaxed Spider. Changing the number of suits does not change the number of required runs.

Try another decision

The following details apply here. Random relaxed deals are not presented as guaranteed solvable. Replay restores the same shuffle for another attempt. Hints identify legal options without guaranteeing a win. New game creates a fresh shuffle in the selected suit setting.

Resume locally

Keep these points in mind. Relaxed Spider keeps its saved games separate from standard Spider when saving is enabled. Privacy & Cookie Settings lets you turn saving off or clear local records. Each relaxed suit setting has its own current local game. My Statistics displays relaxed starts and wins in separate rows.
